Urban Maverick Corporation was established in Manila on 06 July 2001 as a trading company.  Its' initial thrust was to enter the Philippine fashion market as a supplier to established brands. 

In 2004, to maximize production capacity the company entered into the fashion retail industry.  Thus, Purple Candy, the brand was born.

Purple Candy now has fifteen retail outlets in the Philippines, eleven of which are in the SM Department stores.  The brand is now found in Australia and Hong Kong.  Purple Candy products are also sold in Singapore and US, however, tagged as a different label.
